The COVID-19 epidemic has changed much about the daily lives of our students and team members, as it has for countless others around the world. During this time, Harmony Public Schools aims to create an environment that is consistent, conducive to learning, and inclusive to all while keeping everyone safe.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Your donations will continue to help us meet the educational and physical needs of students in your community by providing them ongoing access to educational resources and other items of need.

Your contributions will go to a number of worthy causes specifically connected to supporting our students, staff members, and their families during the COVID-19 crisis.

The COVID-19 impact has had a profound financial impact on the businesses of our communities. Many of those businesses in turn have had to make the difficult decision to cut employee hours, hold layoffs, or close altogether, leaving the affected families unable to pay rent, buy groceries, or pay utilities. Your support helps these families make ends meet until they are able to financially recover from the impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

As college campuses have ended early for the semester and many of the service industry jobs that typically employ college students have closed or cut back on operations, many Harmony alumni find themselves without a reliable source of income or even a stable place to live. Your support helps these students stay afloat until the COVID-1 crisis passes and college life re-normalizes.

Harmony Public Schools has always been a leader in technology use in the classroom. This is more important now than ever as classwork has transitioned completely online due to the COVID-19 crisis. Harmony has made a promise to provide a chromebook and home internet access for every student without current access to these tools at home. Your contributions help Harmony continue to fulfill that promise .

Additionally, we are seeking to provide teachers with advanced digital teaching tools to help bring online lessons to life and close the distance gap between student and teacher. These tools include improved computer cameras and microphones for teachers.

WHO WE ARE

Harmony Public Schools is a free, open-enrollment public charter school system with PreK-12 campuses located in more than 20 communities across Texas. Our campuses primarily serve students in economically disadvantaged neighborhoods, with a goal of uplifting communities through better educational opportunities for children. Our schools have a 100% college acceptance rate among graduating seniors, and 64% of Harmony alumni are the first in their family to attend college, which is more than double the national average.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Harmony Public Schools believes each student can achieve their own unique, full potential through a caring and collaborative learning environment that emphasizes personalized learning; innovative instructional method; college and career readiness; and character building.

PROTECTING YOUR TRUST

Harmony Public Schools is committed to the responsible, efficient, and transparent use of all funds it receives. For the 2019-2020 school year, Harmony received seven-of-seven “Superior” Financial Accountability Ratings from the Texas Education Agency for responsible use of funding. In 2019, the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) bestowed its highest recognition for school financial responsibility, the Award of Merit for Purchasing Operations, to Harmony Public Schools.
